The car was introduced globally earlier this year and now it has been launched in the Indian market. It will replace the DB11 and is therefore going to be a very important product in Aston Martin’s lineup. Its price is Rs 4.59 crore. In the market it will compete with Bentley Continental GT and Ferrari Roma, which are priced at Rs 3.29 crore and Rs 3.79 crore (ex-showroom) respectively.
DB12 has a new Mercedes AMG sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which gives amazing performance. This engine can give 671 bhp and 800 Nm output. It has an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This super car can achieve speed of 0-100 km per hour in just 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is 325 km per hour. It has three driving modes – GT, Sport and Sport+. In Sport+ mode, this car looks no less than a storm in terms of running.
An attempt has been made to give it a more muscular look. Its front has a big grille, new-look headlights and a reworked splitter. The car rides on standard 21-inch wheels with cast-iron 400mm front discs and 360mm rear discs. Aston Martin has also given a new suspension setup, which comes with adaptive dampers, stiffer anti-roll bars and electronic rear differential.
Changes are also visible in the interior of Aston Martin DB12. The old Mercedes infotainment platform which was available in DB11 has been replaced with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen. The rear is largely similar to the DB11 with similar body and taillight design.
