Honda Car Sales: Honda Cars India has recorded monthly domestic sales of 9,861 units in September 2023, a growth of 13 percent year-on-year. Apart from this, the company has also exported 1,310 units last month. The company had sold 8,714 units in the domestic market and exported 2,333 units in September 2022. The newly launched Honda Elevate is the main reason for the significant growth in the brand’s sales in the country. The new Elevate is receiving excellent response from buyers in the market. Priced between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16 lakh, the new Elevate is one of the most affordable mid-size SUVs available in the market. Its delivery started from September 2023.

Commenting on the sales, Yuichi Murata, Director (Marketing and Sales), Honda Cars India Limited said, “Honda Cars India is in an exciting phase with the launch of the all-new Honda Elevate. The new SUV has emerged as the frontrunner and is contributing significantly to the sales momentum during this festive season. Honda City and Amaze are also performing well in their respective segments. He further said, “The auto industry is experiencing strong demand at the beginning of the festival season. As the festive period increases this year, we hope this momentum will continue, which is very encouraging.
Competition and Products
The new Honda Elevate competes with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyrider, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor in the market. It is available in a single 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine with manual and CVT options. The company is currently selling City Sedan, City Hybrid, Amaze and Elevate in the Indian market.
