Sources associated with the company have given this information. Adani Group’s current solar manufacturing capacity is four gigawatts (one gigawatt equals 1,000 MW).
Received huge orders in 15 months
Sources associated with Adani Solar, the group’s solar power manufacturing unit, said that the company has received export orders of more than 3,000 MW capacity in the next 15 months. Recently the company has raised $394 million from Barclays and Deutsche Bank.
Formed in 2015
Adani Solar, involved in the manufacturing of solar panels used in solar energy generation, was formed in the year 2015. It began manufacturing the following year and in less than six years its capacity has more than tripled to four gigawatts.
13,000 jobs will be created
According to sources, Adani Solar is currently setting up the first fully integrated and comprehensive solar manufacturing unit of 10 GW capacity in Mundra, Gujarat. This will be the largest manufacturing unit of the group and will generate 13,000 jobs.
