UP Violence: In connection with the violence that took place after Friday prayers in different districts of Uttar Pradesh, the police have so far registered 13 FIRs and arrested 237 people.
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar issued a statement saying that a total of 237 people have been arrested in connection with the violence that took place in the state on Friday. Maximum 68 people have been arrested from Prayagraj, followed by 55 from Saharanpur.
How many arrests from which city?
ADG Prashant Kumar informed that out of total 237 arrests, 68 people are involved in Prayagraj, 50 in Hathras, 55 in Saharanpur, 28 in Ambedkarnagar, 25 in Moradabad, 3 in Aligarh and 8 in Firozabad. Giving details of the action till 5 pm, he said that apart from registering 3 FIRs each in Prayagraj and Saharanpur, one FIR each has been registered in Firozabad, Aligarh, Hathras, Moradabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Kheri and Jalaun. Police said that action will be taken against those arrested under the stringent National Security Act (NSA) in Saharanpur and Prayagraj.
Yogi’s instructions – continue the action of the bulldozer
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while issuing instructions to the officials said, “Sternest action will be taken against the anti-social elements involved in the chaotic efforts to spoil the atmosphere in various cities of the state in the past. There is no place. Keep in mind that no innocent is harassed, but not a single guilty remains.”
Chief Minister Yogi reviewed the law and order situation of UP through video conferencing today. Chief Minister Yogi ordered that such strict action should be taken against the culprits that no one dares to commit violence again.
The damage caused to public and private property in the violence should be recovered from the perpetrators, along with the bank accounts and property of the culprits should also be investigated. Yogi said that the action of bulldozers on professional criminals and mafia should continue.
Violence took place on Friday in the name of protest in UP
