6.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Nepal : On a Sunday morning, Nepal experienced the powerful force of a 6.1 magnitude earthquake, as confirmed by the National Seismological Centre of Nepal. This seismic event was pinpointed at Dhading, situated approximately 55 kilometers to the west of the capital city, Kathmandu.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 13 kilometers.

Remarkably, there have been no reports of fatalities or structural damage stemming from this tremor. Its impact reverberated across the districts of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The tremors of this seismic disturbance also resonated in the Delhi-NCR region.

It’s noteworthy that Nepal holds the rank of being the 11th most earthquake-prone country globally, as indicated by the government’s post-disaster needs assessment (PDNA) report.
