Arvind Kerjiwal Bail Plea: The regular bail plea of ​​​​Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested in the Delhi liquor policy case, will be heard in Rouse Avenue Court on Friday (7 June). The court had already refused to grant interim bail to Kejriwal on medical grounds. However, once again the Chief Minister of Delhi is going to seek regular bail on the basis of the same arguments.

Judge Kaveri Baveja is going to hear Arvind Kejriwal’s regular bail plea in Rouse Avenue Court. This time also, regular bail will be sought on behalf of Kejriwal on the basis of medical report in the hearing. On Wednesday (5 June) also, Kejriwal had sought interim bail from the court citing medical conditions, but the court rejected his petition. This time regular bail has been sought instead of interim.

The court had given instructions to conduct medical test

Actually, on Wednesday, hearing on Arvind Kejriwal’s interim bail plea in Rouse Avenue Court. Citing medical conditions, he had sought bail for seven days, which was rejected by the court. Also, his custody was extended till June 19. Kejriwal appeared in the court virtually. The court had directed the concerned officials to conduct necessary medical tests of Kejriwal in the meantime.

Kejriwal is not suffering from a fatal disease: Court

During the hearing, the court refused to grant interim bail to Kejriwal, saying that the way he campaigned extensively (election) and participated in other related activities indicates that he is not suffering from any serious or ‘life-threatening’ disease. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has already opposed Kejriwal’s bail. It says that he is claiming to be suddenly ill, while he campaigned throughout the election.
