Heavy Rainfall Alert: While issuing an alert, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rain in the next 5 days in some states of the country. During this, there is a possibility of scattered or scattered rains over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Apart from this, heavy rain has also been warned in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, South Karnataka and Kerala.

While issuing an alert, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rain in the next 5 days in some states of the country. These include some states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur in the northeast.

IMD tweeted that, during the next 5 days, there is a possibility of strong or scattered rains over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. During this, a warning of thunder and lightning has also been issued, Arunachal Pradesh during 1 to 4 September and Assam and Meghalaya from 2 to 4 September.There is a possibility of light rain and thundershowers in Bihar during 30 August to 3 September and in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 5 days.

Whereas on August 30, there has been a warning of heavy rain and thundershower in different parts of Telangana. There is a warning of heavy rain over Coastal and Interior Karnataka from August 30 to September 2, Lakshadweep on September 1 and 2 and over Tamil Nadu, South Karnataka and Kerala.

School-colleges closed in Karnataka on Tuesday

On the other hand, schools and colleges in Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru were closed on Tuesday in view of the incessant rain and its warnings. The people of the city are facing problems due to waterlogging on the roads. Bengaluru city DC Srinivas told news agency ANI, “Due to heavy rains, many parts of Bengaluru were waterlogged and many trees were uprooted on Monday. Due to heavy rains, a holiday has been declared for schools and colleges in Bengaluru on Tuesday.”

Let us inform that due to heavy rains in the last few days, there has been heavy damage in many areas of Central and North India. Especially in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, heavy rains caused severe floods, in which there was loss of life and property.
