LDA Plots Scam: A case of misappropriation of land has come to light in the Gomtinagar scheme of Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). It is alleged that during the time of SP government, the plot was divided among many officials including former VC of LDA, former secretary, former additional secretary, deputy secretary, OSD. LDA VC has ordered investigation in this matter. Now this entire matter is being investigated.
122 plots allotted to relatives
In fact, in Gomti Nagar and Gomti Nagar Extension, by fraudulently becoming members of the cooperative society, plots worth Rs 300 crore were allotted to their relatives, wives and children. A total of 122 plots were allotted during this period. LDA Vice President Dr. Indramani Tripathi started the investigation as soon as information about this scam came to light.
300 crore misappropriation
Let us tell you that recently a case of land dispute had come to light in Gomti Nagar extension area. LDA VC, showing a strict stance regarding the matter, had complained about it to the government. Many officers and engineers posted in LDA before 2017 are accused of fraudulently allotting huge plots of land in the names of their family members by making them members of a committee. They have been allotted plots ranging from 300 to 500 square meters. The value of the property is said to be around Rs 300 crore.
It was told that in the year 2016, the land of the cooperative society was taken by Lucknow Development Authority to develop its colony. Those who had plots in this society were to be given plots in the colony of Lucknow Development Authority in return. But by committing scam the officials got their close ones included in the society and allotted the plots fraudulently. The scam was complained about several times, but every time it was suppressed. Now an investigation has been ordered into this entire matter.
