Today IMD Weather Prediction : Cyclonic storm ‘Hamun’ active near Bangladesh in the Bay of Bengal has become dangerous. Due to its impact, forecast of heavy rain has been issued in 5 states of the country today.
Today IMD Weather Prediction : The Meteorological Department has issued an update regarding cyclonic storm ‘Hamoon’. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Tripura, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram in the next 12 hours (Today Weather Update). The Meteorological Department has asked the public to stay updated about the storm and follow official advice. Along with this, the concerned state governments have also been asked to keep their preparations in view of the storm and to have teams ready for rescue and relief.
Storm turned into deep depression
According to private weather website Skymet, the severe cyclonic storm ‘Hamun’ has now moved towards north-east. It had crossed the Bangladesh coast south of Chittagong in the afternoon of 25 October. Its wind speed remains between 75 to 85 km per hour. At present this storm has weakened and turned into a deep depression.
It is believed that this storm may become weaker today (Today Weather Update). Another similar cyclonic storm is 1.5 to 3.1 km above sea level over the North West Bay of Bengal off the Andhra Pradesh coast.

If we talk about the weather of the last 24 hours in the country, there was light rain in Lakshadweep, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland. During this period, light to moderate rainfall occurred in Kerala. Whereas Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Gangetic West Bengal received light to moderate rain.

According to the agency, today (Today Weather Update) there may be a slight drop in the minimum temperature of North-West, Central and Eastern India. Due to which the feeling of cold will increase further at night. There are chances of light rain today in Northeast India, Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. Along with this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Kerala in the next 24 hours.
