Weather Update Today: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in five states of South India this week. At the same time, due to the formation of low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, rain has been predicted in the coastal areas. Light to moderate rain is expected in Andaman Nicobar Islands for the next five days. The five states where heavy rain alert has been issued include Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rain in Odisha and West Bengal today.

Talking about today’s weather, according to the report of Skymet Weather, there may be moderate to heavy rain in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and the southern coast of Andhra Pradesh today.
Light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places is possible in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Rain activities will gradually cover parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. Sea condition will be rough over Andaman Sea on 14 November and over southwest and west central Bay of Bengal on 14 and 15 November.
