Hard Work and Hard Dance Move Increase Risk of Heart Attack: Nowadays, many such cases are coming in which people are dying while dancing.
Hard Work Hard Dance Move Increase Risk of Heart Attack Stroke: Recently, many youth died of heart attack during Garva dance in Gujarat. On this, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya expressed concern and said that people who have got Covid should avoid hard work for two-three years.
Citing a study by ICMR, he said that the heart capacity of Covid patients has been affected due to which they should be cautious for two-three years. We talked to Dr. Nityanand Tripathi, a famous cardiologist of Fortis Hospital, on this entire matter. He said that most of the people were affected by Corona. Of course whether they know it or not. Therefore, if you suddenly work out hard or dance fast, it can harm not only Corona patients but everyone.
Dance in Navratri Was the reason for heart attack?
Dr. Nityanand Tripathi said that Corona patients may have higher chances of blood clotting in the arteries. However, it is not yet completely proven that only Corona patients have such problems. Many researches are going on all over the world and gradually it is coming to light.
If we look at the virus, its effect should end in two-three years. Most of the people who died due to heart attacks during Navratri in Gujarat were due to sudden reasons. Actually, these people might be doing very hard exercises or might be dancing too much. This may have broken the plaque in the artery. This could be the immediate cause of heart attack.
Do heart attacks happen only in Covid patients?
According to the report published in the journal Nature Cardiology, research has found that the Covid virus infects the coronary arteries and increases inflammation in atherosclerotic plaque. Atherosclerotic plaque is dirty cholesterol deposited in the arteries. That is, due to increase in inflammation in this cholesterol, this plaque will increase and the risk of its breakage will increase.
Dr. Nityanand Tripathi told that whether anyone knows it or not, most of the world’s population was affected by Corona. It is possible that the claims of this research may be true but it is not right to limit it only to Corona. Rather, every person should protect himself from the risk of heart attack and stroke. Even if you are healthy, do not suddenly do very difficult exercises or do strenuous dance for a long time or do not do any difficult work at a fast pace.
Heart attack occurs due to rupture of plaque
Dr. Nityanand Tripathi said that with the kind of unhealthy eating habits we have these days, it is difficult to tell in whose arteries plaque (sticky substance made of dirty cholesterol) has accumulated. Because in most of the cases the accumulation of plaque in the artery is not detected. It can be detected only if there is up to 70 percent plaque in the arteries.
Anything less than this cannot be detected. Therefore, it is better to always be cautious about heart attack or stroke. Due to sudden hard work, the plaque in the artery gets broken which leads to the formation of blood clot and this suddenly affects the blood flow and leads to heart attack or stroke. The problem is that plaque does not cause any harm initially, nor is it detected in any way.
What to do to avoid sudden heart attack
- Dr. Nityanand Tripathi told that first of all the youth should not become addicted to hard exercises. One should not exercise for one and a half to two hours in a single day. Gradually its timing and capacity should be increased.
- Develop stamina slowly first. People who have gradually increased their exercise capacity for a long time are at very less risk. If you develop stamina gradually then there will be no danger.
- Do not use excessive energy drinks for exercise. Don’t use too much caffeine.
- Take a healthy diet. For this, consume seasonal green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, dry fruits, fish, seeds etc. regularly.
- Stay away from cigarettes and alcohol. Smoking can increase the risk of heart attack manifold.
- Do not consume junk food, processed food, fast food, excessive fried foods etc.
