Today, during the auspicious time, fasting women should dress like brides and sit at the place of worship. After that, women make idols of Gauri, Ganesha and Shiva from yellow clay or install the pictures of these three on a post. In this, first of all the revered Lord Ganesha, then Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva should be worshipped.
Offer Durva, Sindoor, Akshat, Modak, Dhoop, Deep etc. to Lord Ganesha. Offer Belpatra, Akshat, sandalwood, flowers, honey, hemp, incense, lamp etc. to Lord Shiva. Then worship Goddess Parvati with Akshat, vermilion, red flowers, incense, lamp, naivedya, sixteen makeup items, red chunari etc. Also worship 8 puris with Athawari, Karva etc.
