IPL 2024 Auction: With the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament over, the IPL 2024 season has begun to buzz. The mini auction for the IPL 2024 season will be held on 19th of next month. Franchises are preparing their arsenal for this auction. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has also taken sensational decisions in the wake of the upcoming season.
RCB are set to drop their death overs specialist Harshal Patel along with veteran wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik. Harshal Patel in IPL 2022 Season Mega Auction for Rs. RCB, who bought him at a whopping price of 10 crores.
Dinesh Karthik, who failed miserably in the last season, will say goodbye to international cricket. RCB, who have already given Shehbaz Ahmed to Sunrisers Hyderabad through the trading window, will also give up Anuj Rawat and Finn Allen. Plans are being made to pick up qualified players in the mini-auction.
RCB, which has already changed its head coach, has focused on cleaning the team as well. After saying goodbye to Mike Hessen, who worked as the team director and head coach for a long time, RCB hired former Zimbabwean cricketer Andy Flower as the new coach. Till last season, Andy Flower worked as the coach of Lucknow Super Giants.
Today (Sunday) is the deadline set by the BCCI to submit the list of released and retained players along with the trading window for the IPL 2024 season. Today between 4 pm and 6 pm, the official broadcaster will release the retain and release lists of Star Sports franchises.
