PAK vs AUS Perth Test: Pakistan has suffered a crushing defeat in its first match of the Australian tour. He surrendered on the fourth day in the Perth Test. Australia had given Pakistan a target of 450 runs to win. In reply, Pakistan team collapsed for just 89 runs. In this way, Pakistan team lost the first match of the three-match Test series by 360 runs.
In the Perth Test, Australia captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first. Here Australia scored 487 runs in the first innings. In reply, Pakistan’s first innings ended at 271. After taking a lead of 216 runs in the first innings, Australia started batting again without giving follow-on to Pakistan. Here Australia declared its innings at 233 runs after losing 5 wickets in the second session of the fourth day.
7 batsmen could not touch double figures
Pakistan had a bad start while chasing the target of 450 runs. Abdullah Shafiq (2) returned to the pavilion in the very first over. The process of falling wickets which started from the first over continued regularly till the 31st over. Only Imam ul Haq (10), Babar Azam (14) and Saud Shakeel (24) could touch double figures. Apart from these, no other batsman could go beyond 5 runs. The entire Pakistani team was all out for just 89 runs.
Mitchell Marsh ‘Player of the Match’
The player of the match of this match was Mitchell Marsh. He scored 90 runs in the first innings and 63 unbeaten runs in the second innings. Marsh also took a wicket here. David Warner scored 164 runs in the first innings. Whereas Usman Khawaja scored 90 runs in the second innings. The only half-century for Pakistan was scored by Imam Ul Haq (62). Aamer Jamal (6) and Khurram Shahzad (5) took the maximum wickets for Pakistan.
