Steelers vs Rams : In a close encounter in Los Angeles on a Sunday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Steelers eked out a narrow victory by the slightest of margins. The Rams, faced with a critical decision late in the game at SoFi Stadium, appeared to be unable to challenge the call.

With the Steelers holding a 24-17 lead, quarterback Kenny Pickett executed a sneak play in an attempt to convert on fourth-and-1, just beyond midfield, with less than two minutes remaining. The Steelers’ objective was to maintain possession, run out the clock, and secure the victory.

Upon taking the snap and being immediately tackled, it seemed as though Pickett had fallen well short of the first-down marker. However, following a precise measurement by the officials and a favorable ball spot, it was determined that he had managed to gain just enough for the crucial first down.

Unable to challenge the play due to a lack of timeouts, the Rams were left with no recourse as the ruling on the field stood. The Steelers effectively ran out the clock and secured a hard-fought seven-point victory.

Throughout most of the game on Sunday, Los Angeles had maintained a lead and even extended it with a Darrell Henderson 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. However, it was the Steelers’ impressive performance in the fourth quarter that placed them in a position to kneel and preserve their late-game advantage. Jaylen Warren swiftly equalized the contest with a 13-yard touchdown run early in the final period. Subsequently, following a successful defensive stand and a punt from the Rams, Najee Harris concluded a 10-play, 80-yard drive with a 3-yard touchdown run, putting the Steelers in the lead.

The Rams were granted one final opportunity on offense, but Matthew Stafford’s three consecutive incomplete passes led to another punt with just over five minutes remaining. That marked the conclusion of their offensive possessions.

Matthew Stafford completed 14 of 29 passes for 231 yards, securing one touchdown but also throwing an interception in a losing effort for the Rams, whose season record fell to 3-4. Royce Freeman rushed for 66 yards on 12 carries, while Darrell Henderson contributed 61 rushing yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Puka Nacua was the standout receiver, amassing 154 receiving yards on eight receptions, marking his fourth 100-yard game of the season.
