You will say that this is an exaggeration, that is, we are exaggerating, women do not even do this much shopping! But a woman from England does the same. She shops in her sleep and in this process, she has spent more than 3 lakh rupees while sleeping. This is not her habit, but there is a big reason behind doing this.

According to the New York Post report, 42-year-old Kelly Knipes, a resident of England (England woman shops in sleep), has a strange disease. She has a rare sleep disorder, due to which she shops in her sleep. While sleeping, she adds items to her cart on online shopping sites at night and then orders the goods in her sleep. In this process, she has spent more than Rs 3 lakh so far.

Orders goods in sleep

Talking to South West News Service, Kelly said that she gets very worried thinking about what she will do at night, what she will spend money on. After investigation in the year 2018, it was found that she has parasomnia.

This is a type of condition, in which a person starts behaving abnormally and undesirable during sleep. According to Yale Medicine, a person suffering from parasomnia can walk, talk, eat or do any other strange work in his sleep but he is not aware of these things because the brain is only half awake.

Ordered strange things

In the last few years, Kelly has ordered goods from websites that deliver goods immediately and she used to wake up only when the goods would reach her home. Among these goods was a plastic full size basketball court with net, pole etc. Apart from this, she has ordered paint, books, salt, children’s play house, many fridges, tables, toffees etc. She is also getting into debt due to unnecessary things.

Her credit card details were already saved in her phone, so she did not even need to enter them in her sleep. Once, in her sleep, she even told her financial details to the fraudsters over the phone. When she woke up, Rs 26 thousand had been deducted from her account. She has returned a lot of items, but not all of them were refundable.
