Pervez Musharraf: The news of the deteriorating health of former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf is coming to the fore. Musharraf’s family said on Friday that he has been admitted to a hospital in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after his health deteriorated.

Amidst the ongoing speculation about Musharraf’s health, his family said, ‘He is in that difficult phase, where it is not possible to be healthy.’ Former military dictator General Pervez Musharraf ruled Pakistan from 1999 to 2008 and held a firm grip on power.

Musharraf is suffering from a disease called Amyloidosis

Musharraf’s family shared a statement on Twitter and said that Musharraf is not on ventilator. His family said, ‘He has been hospitalized for about 3 weeks due to severe suffering from Amyloidosis.

He is going through such a difficult phase, from where it is not possible to be healthy. Pray for them. Let us tell you that amyloidosis is a rare disease which occurs due to the formation of an abnormal protein in the body parts. Due to amyloidosis, there is a problem with the normal functioning of the body.

‘Pervez Musharraf’s condition remains critical’

Earlier in the day, Musharraf’s close aide and former Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that his condition remained critical. He told that Musharraf has been put on ventilator.

Fawad Chaudhry, who was the information minister in the Imran Khan government, was once Musharraf’s spokesperson. Chowdhury said he had spoken to Musharraf’s son, who confirmed his illness. He said, ‘I have just spoken to General Musharraf’s son Bilal in Dubai, who confirmed that the father is on ventilator.’

‘Pervez Musharraf is mildly ill’

At the same time, reacting to the news of Musharraf being ill, All Pakistan Muslim League President Ifzal Siddiqui said, ‘General Pervez Musharraf is at home and is mildly ill. Don’t pay attention to Fake News. Pray for his good health.

Let us inform that Musharraf has been declared a fugitive in the murder of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and the killing of the cleric of Lal Masjid. He had gone to Dubai in March 2016 for treatment and has not returned since then.
