An Israeli female MP has brought the nuclear weapon i.e. ‘Jericho Missile System’ into the limelight by talking about deploying Doomsday (weapon of doomsday) against Palestine in the ongoing war after the terrorist attack by Hamas. Revital Tali Gottlieb, a member of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, made several posts on X (formerly Twitter). He advocated a strong response to the attack by Hamas. The call for the use of the Jericho missile system comes as more than 2,200 combined Israelis and Palestinians have been killed in the ongoing war against Hamas.

Gottlieve wrote on X, ‘Jericho Missile! Jericho Missile! Tactical alert. Before considering the introduction of forces. Doomsday! it is my opinion. May God preserve all our strength. I urge you to do everything possible and use Doomsday weapons fearlessly against our enemies. “We must use everything we have in our arsenal.”

He further wrote, ‘Only an explosion that shakes the Middle East will restore our dignity, strength and security! It’s time to kiss Doomsday. Firing powerful missiles without any limit. Not leveling a neighborhood. Crushing and flattening Gaza. … without mercy! without mercy.’

What is Jericho Ballistic Missile System?

Gottlieb mentioned ‘Jericho’ in his post, referring to Israel’s original ballistic missile program, which was launched in the 1960s and was named after the Biblical city located in the West Bank. The Jericho ballistic missile system was initially a collaboration with the French aerospace company Dassault. When France withdrew in 1969, Israel worked on it alone.

Jericho-3 missile system will prove to be a game changer
