World University Ranking : QS Quacquarelli Symonds has released the World University Rankings (QS Quacquarelli Symonds world university rankings 2023) for the year 2023. According to this, Cambridge University has reached number two. Whereas, the University of America has captured the first number.

World University Ranking: Cambridge University has reached the second place in the new global university ranking. Talking about the top 10 institutions of this ranking, there are four UK universities in this. At the same time, if we talk about the world famous Oxford University, it has dropped two places to the fourth place.

MIT is at number-1

According to the report of ‘Daily Mail’, if we talk about the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) of America, it has maintained its dominance for the last 11 years. It remains in the first place in the ranking. Stanford University of America has been ranked third and Harvard University is in fifth place.

Both Cambridge and Oxford have got better marks for academic, graduate quality and teaching ability. Imperial College London has risen from seventh to sixth in 2023. Whereas, University College London remains in the eighth position as of the year 2022. Of the 90 British universities, 10 have improved their position since last year. At the same time, there was a decline in the ranking of 48 universities. Whereas, 32 remain in their place.

Oxford’s role

Ben Souter, research director at QS, said that perhaps no British research success story has captured the public imagination to the extent that Oxford University’s role in developing the AstraZeneca vaccine has.

British successful education system

He said that the UK Universities Ranking has the second most successful higher education system in the world compared to last year’s performance.
